Nyungwe Forest National Park

Nyungwe Forest National Park is one of Africa’s oldest rainforests and a paradise for nature lovers. Covered with dense tropical forest, waterfalls, and mountain landscapes, the park is famous for chimpanzee trekking and exceptional biodiversity. More than 13 species of primates live within the forest, alongside hundreds of bird species, orchids, and butterflies. Visitors can enjoy canopy walks suspended high above the forest, creating breathtaking views over the endless green wilderness.

The peaceful atmosphere of Nyungwe makes it perfect for travelers seeking adventure and relaxation in nature. Hiking trails pass through tea plantations, rivers, and hidden waterfalls, offering unforgettable experiences deep inside the rainforest. The park’s cool weather and rich ecosystem make it a unique destination unlike the typical savannah safari. Nyungwe is also an important conservation area protecting some of Central Africa’s remaining montane forests.
