Murchison Falls National Park

Murchison Falls National Park is Uganda’s largest national park and one of the country’s most spectacular wildlife destinations. The park is named after the powerful Murchison Falls, where the Nile River forces through a narrow gorge before crashing down with incredible force. This dramatic natural wonder creates breathtaking scenery and unforgettable boat safari experiences along the river. Wildlife in the park includes elephants, lions, giraffes, leopards, buffaloes, and large populations of hippos and crocodiles.

The park’s landscapes range from open savannahs and riverbanks to forests and wetlands, creating a rich habitat for wildlife and birds. Game drives offer excellent opportunities to spot animals roaming freely across the plains, while boat cruises provide close-up encounters with aquatic life near the falls. The combination of wildlife and the mighty Nile River makes Murchison Falls one of Uganda’s most exciting safari destinations.
